In other words, it doesn’t hurt to check your assumptions…
In the previous experiment I wanted to assess how variable the faceting material I have is. I’m pretty pleased with the result – about 90% usable material. I’ve been looking through the material since and it’s a fairly consistent result and I’m confident assuming anyone getting this material will be able to cut some decent stones.
But it doesn’t hurt to check your assumptions. (Yes, I already said that… worth repeating)
I’ve selected a small batch of material from the sorted material and a single larger piece and arranged to have them cut into stones. It’ll take a few months to come back, but I think it’ll be worth the wait.
